Cheddar Cheese - Iconic Cheddar

Back Label:
An Icon is a painting of Jesus Christ or another holy figure, typically in a traditional style on wood, venerated and used as an aid to devotion in the Byzantine and other Eastern Churches. The oldest known icon is of Christ Pantocrator from the 6th century. The Greek word Pantocrator translates to “He who has authority over everything.” Christ makes the traditional teacher’s gesture with his right hand and holds the Book of the Gospels in his left. The two different facial expressions on either side may emphasize Christ's two natures as fully God and fully human. This icon is still preserved in the Monastery of Saint Catherine on Mount Sinai in Egypt, one the oldest active monasteries on Earth.
